I consider myself a Student, because I am always learning and love to stay ahead of all of the Beauty & Fashion Industry changes, I learn from so many points of interest, and consider myself an Artist, taking what I've learned to Create some of the most Beautiful Looks for my Clients. I have been a Licensed Cosmetologist since 1987. My Business Brand is TheBeautyBoxLife because I feel like I have lived my career life of  beauty collecting a box full of my experiences,  I've seen Many Trends Come, Go, and Come back. I've worn many titles in my lifetime in this Wonderful Career: Apprentice and Assistant in 2 Top salons in San Francisco, a Manager in two salons, Lead Artist at a salon for seven years, Salon Owner for over ten years, a Mentor forever, and an Educator for the amazing JOICO BRAND since 2009. My Advanced Training & Education is in: Haircutting, Hairstyling, Haircoloring, Hair Extensions & Makeup Artistry. I truly love what I provide for my guests and will always look for  ways to improve my skills, everyday. Aileen has over 25+ Years in the Beauty Industry, and is always keeping up with the current trends, as well as creating ones, by taking many advance training classes and seminars.  Aileen can help you create the hairstyle, hair color, or makeup look that you desire. She specializes in Hair Cutting, Coloring, Hilighting, Balayage as well as Hi-Fashion Intensity Colors. In addition Aileen does Makeup & Hairstyling for All Occasions, such as Proms, Quinceneras, Graduations, Cotillions, Weddings, Engagement Announcements etc. Aileen also specializes in Childrens Services, her gentle touch really does make any child feel at ease. Aileen has a wide range of services, that she offers to her clientele, who range from kids, teens and adult  Men & Women.  Aileen is always accepting new clients. 

In late 2008, after years of working in the corporate world, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a Hair Colorist and enrolled at the Paul Mitchell Academy in Pleasant Hill. After graduating in 2010, I got my first job as an assistant at a salon in Danville, where I kept leveling up in my skills and eventually became the manager, 

I stayed at this location for about 5 years, then I went to a different salon in Alamo for one year, then in Pleasant Hill three years, then in 2020 I had the opportunity to open a small boutique salon in Concord, which I recently expanded in 2024 to welcome two colorists to my team. My salon is a whole vibe of great energy and talent. I have always pursued advancing my skills, and became certified in Babe Extensions, Brazilian Blowout, as well as Advanced Training in J Color Beverly Hills. I still believe that there is always room to improve and learn, and working with a  a dynamic team of Hair & Skincare Professionals and  the amazing Talent that they bring to my salon, really makes coming in to work very wonderful. I'm always accepting new customers and would love to meet you.

 Hope is a licensed Aesthetician and has been in the beauty industry since 1990, whatever your skin concerns, Hope has a treatment for you. Using advanced skincare products that combine plant stem cell technology, peptides and vitamins, just to name a few, she addresses your personal skincare concerns. Hope is highly trained in treating  rosacea, acne, hyperpigmentation, scars and wrinkles via specialized peels, resurfacers and facials, in addition to skincare, she is a trained speed waxing. Hope has advanced training in medical cosmetics to properly apply camouflage makeup techniques.  Certified in European Skincare from the International Dermal Institute, Deloux Cosmetology, Reiki and more.  Hope has worked with several doctors and plastic surgeons, and has volunteered with the LOOK GOOD FEEL BETTER Program through the American Cancer Society.

Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to be a hairdresser. I used to braid and style the babysitter’s hair and cut the neighborhood boys’ hair for $1 – all before setting foot into Beauty School!  I attended and graduated from California Beauty College in Walnut Creek, in 1982. I worked at a small barber shop for a year and then one day, got lucky when I got hired at Big C Athletic Club, where I worked in the salon for almost 35 years. Many of my Big C clients are still with me my chair. One of my strengths is being a great listener to my clients, to create their best look.  I specialize in Men’s Grooming: haircuts, colors, plus Women’s Haircuts and Hair color as well as children’s haircuts. Commerce Ave Salon & Spa is just two blocks down from where Big C was and every day I come to work, I feel like I’m home. When I am not at the salon, I'm a mobile notary and freelance legal assistant. I enjoy reading, listening to music and hanging out at the coast with my husband Dennis and my dog Lola.
